I never set out to become a jewellry maker. I just fell in love with gemstones.
It started with a trip to India ten years ago. I wandered through markets filled with gemstones—rose quartz, jade, amethyst—and I was captivated by their natural beauty and the energy they seemed to hold. What began as a personal fascination quickly became an obsession.
I wanted to learn everything: where these stones came from, how they were formed, and what made each one unique. I studied gemology, learned about ethical sourcing, and spent time with suppliers who shared my values. Over time, I developed a deep appreciation for the individuality of each stone and the story it carries. This connection continues to inspire every design I create. I also began experimenting with different metals and textures, exploring how to combine stones and metals in ways that feel balanced, harmonious, and beautiful.
Then I wanted to create with them. I enrolled in metalworking classes, learned traditional techniques from master craftspeople, and spent hundreds of hours at the bench perfecting my skills. Each piece I made taught me something new about design, patience, and the relationship between metal and stone. I take pride in ensuring every curve, setting, and finish is thoughtfully executed.
Today, I work from my studio, where every piece is still made by hand. As an Amsterdam jewelry maker, I source gemstones from trusted suppliers, design each piece with intention, and finish everything to a standard I’m proud to put my name on. Being an Amsterdam jewelry maker allows me to combine the rich inspiration from my travels with contemporary design, creating unique pieces that reflect both passion and expertise. I pay close attention to every detail to ensure each piece feels truly special.
